GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION

Define Development Strategy using various technologies like Cassandra, Spark and Other big data technologies. Analysis, design, software application development and testing as per project requirements. Communicate and coordinate with stakeholder and teams for issue resolution. Serve as technical specialist to in-house support group. Work as a team member with other technical staff to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.

Perform various tests on the application codes and design new codes for all design specifications. Need to have the ability to multi-task, and to be an excellent team member with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Working in a pure scaled agile frameworks and attend daily meetings like stand-up meetings, grooming sessions, sprint planning, developer community of practice, retrospectives, demos.

Requirements

• MS or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field. 6 months of any experience in information technology related field.
• Must have at least 6 months of experience working with the following knowledge: Object-Oriented Design and Programming in Java on a UNIX or Linux platform; Hadoop MapReduce programming; Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading from Relational Databases like Oracle DB, IBM DB2 using Apache Spark to NOSQL Databases like Apache Cassandra; Pub/Sub Messaging like Apache Kafka and Apache Zookeeper for distributed configuration management; JUnit tests and functional test cases for the services; Shell scripts or other scripting languages; Remote data via REST and JSON; Open source REST Simulation tools like Postman and knowledge of the HTTP protocol; DevOps, Maven, GitHub and Jenkins.
