Software Developer, Applications (DevOps – Current)

Job Description: Work in a mixed environment of Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOs) and Windows servers and implement a cloud strategy based on AWS, Azure. Automate and streamline software development operations and processes, Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations Troubleshoot. Experience with a configuration scripting tool such as Ansible. Establish release automation for java and .NET technologies to achieve continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI and CD). Installing, upgrading and configuring Linux and Windows servers in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments. Setup Apache, Proxy, Web and applications servers, Network, Firewall and IP configurations. Perform other related duties.

Position: FT (Full-time)

Jobsite: Herndon, VA or may change to unanticipated job sites throughout the US as required.

Requirements

MS, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Info Tech or a related field.
12 months exp in software engineering related jobs.
Must have the following: experience with AWS.
Working knowledge on automation tools like CHEF, ANSIBLE, PUPPET, and ability to learn new software, frameworks and APIs.
Experience with programming languages like PYTHON, BASH, and PERL.
Experience with applying DevOPs and CI/CD methodologies.
